Public Puppet Parade Workshops

Come watch our stories come alive with life-size puppets & music parading thru New London.

Today you'll learn about each parade section! You can sign up to participate in:

>> PUBLIC PUPPET PARADE WORKSHOPS!

6-9pm Tuesdays, Thursdays, September 10, 12, 17, 19

10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday Sept 13, 14, 15

Learn to build puppets with professional puppet artists from Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre!

>> MAKE PUPPET PARADE MUSIC!

Play, shout and dance in a parade section! Be in our special drum line, Cimarrón Batucada! Made for all levels!

Rehearsal: 6pm Wednesday, September 18

>> BE IN THE PARADE! September 21, parade starts at 1pm

Meet at 11am, parade lineup at NOON!

Join a section of the parade! Help carry a puppet through the streets of New London to Neer Park! Walk the puppets, wear a character mask, or be section support!

Be a Harvest Star VENDOR!

>> VOLUNTEER! Assist with route and parade and vendor setup!

WHAT IS THE AUTUMN EQUINOX?
The autumn equinox, when the sun sits directly above the equator, halfway between the summer and winter solstice, we celebrate our season's work, give thanks for a bountiful harvest and prepare for the future together. Read more from the Farmer's Almanac.
