WHAT DOES PWYW MEAN?

PAY WHAT YOU WISH (PWYW)

You may have seen "PWYW" on our event posters and flyers, ticketing site and social media. What does it mean? We believe theater should not be a luxury or privilege but available and accessible to all who want to participate. Towards that core belief we offer a sliding scale ticket model available to our audiences for the majority of our productions and events.

Our suggested ticket price will remain at $15 which may be more than affordable for some or absolutely prohibitive for others. $15 in no way reflects the real economics of producing a show and paying our artists a living wage - that would be much more than a $15 ticket. A $15 ticket is simply what we hope is a comfortable median from which you can make your own decision about what your current circumstances can bear. If you can pay more, please do. If you need to pay less, please do.

We also recognize that accessibility is not only about available cash but also about the perceived elitist (exclusive) nature of theater itself. We want to make art experiences a regular part of our cultural lives. All are welcome here. These stories are yours. So you decide and let’s hold each other up as a community and welcome each other into a room not determined by economic means, class, race, religion or culture. We made this… for you.

WHAT SHOULD I PAY?

Use the below guidelines to help decide what tier of sliding scale tickets is right for you and your circumstances.

$0 tickets are always available to every one of our productions. If you do not see it listed as a category during checkout, please email hello@littletheatreauditorium.org, and we will help book your ticket.
